Bright Futures Farm is an equine charity whose primary focus is off the track Thoroughbreds...horses that can no longer race due to disinterest or injury.  Our dedication has grown to include horses that are difficult to find homes for...older horses that are unwanted after their "useful years" are over, and older stallions that cannot be gelded due to the risk of complications.

We are always in need of foster homes.  When you foster a horse you help us save one more from harm.  Fostering expenses are tax-deductible.  If you have room, please ask us about our foster program.

Ace In The Hole (Thunder) 1998 Paint gelding.  16 hands. Thunder has only had one owner...born on her property. He was shown in the 4-H where he placed very well. He has also schooled in Dressage. He is in need of a trail home due to some unknown injury that cannot be determined by the vet. Thunder is much happier when he lives outside with access to his stall or a run in (may need blanketed in winter). He is a very easy keeper and is best wearing front shoes. Novice rider recommended.

Thunder has been placed with C. & D. Egidio of NJ

Maggie  2000 Tovero Paint mare  Maggie is a beautiful girl with a wonderful personality.  She has been ridden bareback by her former owner, but has had no formal training.  She does have navicular changes in both front feet, and with proper shoeing, she may be sound for light riding.  She has been in the past, but has been a pasture puff for about three years now.  Maggie gets along with other horses and loves attention.  She will need to be shod at an appropriate angle (55 degrees seems to be best for her) every five to six weeks to remain sound.

Maggie has been placed with B. Hickey of PA
